SMS Terms

1. Program Description
SoSave operates a platform that digitizes community savings circles, Pardner, Susu, Tanda, Hui, Paluwagan, Chit Fund, and similar traditions. This page covers two SMS programs from SoSave, with separate consent for each: SoSave Updates, recurring marketing texts (launch updates and product news) you can opt in to at sosave.ai, and service messaging, the informational and transactional SMS you consent to separately, when you provide your mobile phone number at sign-up, in your in-app notification settings, or by accepting a pool invitation that requires it. Marketing consent is never required to join the waitlist, create an account, or use the service. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help, at any time in either program.
2. Types of Messages
- SoSave Updates (marketing, separate opt-in): recurring marketing texts, launch updates and product news, for people who check the optional box at sosave.ai. Consented separately from all service messaging below.
- Savings pool invitations: a message from a pool operator inviting you to join their savings pool.
- Contribution reminders: reminders about upcoming or outstanding contributions, including a 24-hour reminder before an unaccepted invitation expires.
- Payout notifications: confirmations when a pool cycle opens, a contribution is received, or a payout is disbursed (subject to your notification preferences).
- Account security notifications: verification codes and security alerts when applicable.
SoSave sends SMS only to people who have opted in or joined a pool that uses SMS notifications. SoSave does not send SMS on behalf of third parties.
3. Message Frequency
SoSave Updates: Up to 4 msgs/month. For pool service messaging, frequency varies: you may receive approximately 1 to 10 SMS messages per month per active pool, depending on your participation level and notification settings. Typical pool members receive 3 to 5 messages per month per pool.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Message and data rates are determined by your mobile carrier; check with your carrier for details. SoSave does not charge a fee to receive SMS messages.
5. Opt-Out (STOP)
Reply STOP to any SoSave SMS to opt out of future SMS communications. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further SMS messages will be sent unless you opt in again. You may also disable SMS notifications in your account preferences at any time.
6. Help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any SoSave SMS for help, and you will receive contact information. For other questions, email hello@sosave.ai.
7. Supported Carriers
SMS service is supported on all major US mobile carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy and Data Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of data sharing exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Phone numbers and SMS-related data are shared only with our messaging delivery providers (Sent.dm and Twilio) under data processing agreements that restrict their use to delivering our messages. 9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these SMS Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
